Coleen Rooney has admitted her husband is not a modern man
The England captain Wayne does not lift a finger at home, cannot be trusted to post a letter and will not take out the rubbish.
The striker may be wowing fans in his recent return to his boyhood club Everton but Coleen, 31, is less impressed with his domestic skills.
Giving a rare insight into their marriage, she said yesterday: “Wayne doesn’t put the rubbish out. He will put things away after himself.
“He forgets to do things I ask him. I’ll say, ‘Will you post that letter on the way to training?’ A week later, the letter will still be in the car or his bag.
“And he doesn’t help with the housework.”
Coleen and Wayne, 31, share a sprawling pile in Cheshire complete with swimming pool, gym, games room and Jacuzzi, with their children Kai, seven, Klay, four, and one-year-old Kit.

Opening up more about their home life, she said that despite her husband being a world-class talent, he’s banned from attending his son’s football matches.
She said: “One day, Wayne came to a match and spent the whole time taking photos with kids and at the end Kai said, ‘You never even saw me play.’ So I ban Wayne now because Kai gets upset.”
