The chat show host was reportedly "called in" by Susanna, 47, after viewers grew concerned for the ITV team.
Piers, 52, said: "We were having a little tiff and a viewer called Louise was worried about [us] today, and by pure chance Jeremy Kyle was in the building and he's come to try and get to the bottom of what's going on.
"[Susanna] never lets me get a word in edgeways, she's always dominating conversation," the outspoken presenter joked.
However, 52-year-old Jeremy was having none of it, and instantly delivered a slice of humble pie to Piers.

Jeremy offered Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid advice
"Patently, that's not true, gobby, is it?" he started.
Jeremy continued: "I think you need to respect women a bit more, Morgan, and that's that."
Getting into the role, Piers screamed at his ITV colleague: "I want a lie detector!"
Clearly snapping into his daytime job, Jeremy yelled back: "Don't start on me!" before the team erupted in laughter.
